Yes! We do this on a regular basis... A lot of heat can be lost through the roof, so having good insulation will save you money and make your home more comfortable. Adding insulation when re-roofing is cost effective in both the long-term and the short-term.
Yes. More often that not, when we remove old roofs, the timber structure underneath is still in very good condition. However, sometimes there is the odd piece of timber work that needs to be replaced. Our re-roofing quotations include the replacement of any damaged or rotten timbers. No additional charge.
A re-roof usually takes between 2 and 5 days depending on the size of the roof and the complexity of the job. We can let you know how long we expect it to take when you book your job. We are strongly influenced by the weather, but we will communicate with you - letting you know if we are delayed in any way.
We will only remove as much of the old roofing material that we will be able to replace that same day. The roof is generally only uncovered for a very short period of time during the day.
